update.

-It's no secret that we are obsessed with roos n' more zoo. well, devin's family got jealous of all the awesome times we had there that they all decided to come visit us, see our house and go to the zoo with us! we all had such a blast!! I seriously love devin's family. we always have such a great time together and they have welcomed me and matix into their family we opened arms.

-we went and saw my most favoritest band ever, tegan and sara at the cosmopolitan. i can't even tell you how much i loved it. it was the best night ever with some of my best friends.

-then we also got to see the postal service, which was basically a dream. i have loved the postal service since they first came out like 10 years ago...and i finally got to see them! what a treat.

-i went to the clark county fair with my sister and her kids. devin had to work, which was sad. but we still managed to have a good time with my best bud. the highlight was definitely watching our friend lilly (age 6) ride a sheep (muttin' bustin') she came in 5th place!
-Matix started karate!! it's twice a week so between that and tee ball i have been bus---yyyy but it has been a fun experience! he's adorable to watch and the disciple and attention it requires has been really good for him.

-my friend natalie got these adorable dino slippers for matix. is he a stud or what?!?! oh my gosh i love this kid more than anything.

Disneyland 2013.

A couple of weekends ago we went down to California for my cute little cousins wedding. Since it was conveniently also spring break we decided to head down a few days later and go to DISNEYLAND!! Matix is finally tall enough to go on every ride except California Screamin' and Indiana Jones. When did my baby boy grow up?!? Someone please pinch me because this is not real life. But alas, he is. He  went on every single ride he was able to go on...AND he loved every second of it. He sure is lovin' big kid life, I tell ya. In the Tower of Terror line the ladies behind us told him that he was super brave to go on this ride. I told them that we're just bad parents for not prepping him. I love his facial expressions in all our ride pictures. He's my favorite little boy in the history of forever. I'm so happy I got to go to the happiest place on earth with my happiest people. We even wore matching Mickey shirts because we are awesome like that. And you know why else we're awesome? Because we never waited more than 45 minutes for a ride, even Radiator Springs which had an 180 minute wait. ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY MINUTES. That is not happiness in my world, Disneyland. It's just not. But yeah, we cheated (in a totally not mean cheater way) and that makes us super awesome. I can't wait until we can go back!

Fast Pass Queen

Don't ask the Disneyland photographer to use your fisheye app. She'll struggle.

As if Disneyland wasn't enough...we also did some more super duper fun stuff while in Orange County...like:

Baby cousin's wedding.

Snuggle cute little baby Calvin. Lots.

Have lunch with some Utah friends.

Get $15 asian massages/eat asian snacks/PRPGC reunion/beach/hot tub with these people.

And celebrate Easter.

There's probably only one word that accurately describes our weekend....

homeowners.

Devin and I bought a house in March! Oh what a crazy life I live. But it's great for Devin to finally have his own place to live, while I'm still at mis padres. But we just couldn't say no to the great market. We are now the proud owners of a 3,000 square foot house (4 bedrooms and an office) in Aliante. (In the same neighborhood as my sister). We have said goodbye to being out of town every weekend and hello to DIY projects! We are slowly making some changes to make it our home...starting with the kitchen slowly turning white and the nice new dent in the front stucco from my excellent backing up skills. It's a beauty, I tell ya. Next on our list is painting the beautiful diarrhea green kitchen, blood red master, and the flesh colored hallways. We love being homeowners!!

One Year.

March 1st marked one whole year of dating for me and Dev.
365 days. 4 seasons. Holidays. Birthdays. Vacations.
We've done it all!
(in order of events)
Our story actually began 6 years ago. Me and my friend, Layne were walking out of church early, when some unfamiliar faces (who were sitting in the foyer, not in class) tried to convince us to stay and hang out with them. We exchanged numbers and started to hang out. Longboarding down to the strip, hot tubbing, and guitar playing at the caves were how we spent many nights that spring. That is until the boys' job abruptly ended and they headed home to Utah. Dev and I had bonded over our similar tastes in music, but he had a girlfriend so I didn't think too much of it.  We continued to keep in touch through occasional texting until he broke up with his girlfriend and somehow we ended up talking more regularly. Texts turned to phone conversations and phone conversations turned to road trips  I remember planning out our life together in the wave pool of Seven Peaks. However, things fizzled and the next thing I knew, baby Matix was on his way. One last phone call to fill Devin in, and that was the end of that.

...Or so I thought.

Fast forward 5 years later and I was newly divorced and re-added Dev on Facebook. He was happily dating someone but we began to converse occasionally. His relationship ended and his job started bringing him to Vegas once a month. We started hanging out and then his sisters played MASH with him during conference and I won. Our fate was sealed. We were to me married on October 14, 2012 and live a poor life with medium love. Sounds romantic to me. But if we were to be married, we needed to start dating. The joke turned into a reality and after a few long distant trips to see each other we officially became boyfriend/girlfriend. We owe our love to MASH.

For Christmas, Devin bought me something on my bucket list: A hot air balloon ride. And we finally booked it just in time for our anniversary. It was perfect! The weather was great and our pilot was super cool! Highly recommended. Bucket List: CHECK!

Here's my first attempt at making a video to recap our experience:
