Last day of class....

It should be an exciting day...right? everything is done, except for two little tests online that i need to do before next week, but im really not worried. I even got brave and wore a skirt (that i bought yesterday) and it was fun. (i dont often wear skirts because my legs are pastey... even more than the rest of me.) anyways, everything went great UNTIL my friend amanda talked me into questioning my schedule for the fall, so i decided to go make sure that everything would be fine for graduating in December. Well it was a good/bad thing i went. The good news is that there was a problem. the bad news was, if i hadnt mentioned it, i probably could have gotten away without ever taking any of the core journalism classes (like 1st amendment and media and society...you know the boring yet super hard ones) key word is probably... with my luck im sure they would have made me stay one more semester but the counselor claimed that wouldn't have been the case. Well after a very heated argument between my counselor and the journalism chair (with cussing and everything.. it was quite awkward) it was overruled that I have to take every single HARD class in the jms school next semester, and instead of having to go to unlv two days a week all day (which i was previously complaining about) i now get to go basically ALL day, 4 days a week. what the freak. MW 1130-215/TH 1030-345 plus an online class. and im doing 10 credits this summer. (i thought i could survive all my college years with never doing summer school, apparently not.) how the heck am i going to work? and get insurance? and have any money ever? and basically survive? i dont even want to freaking graduate anymore. i seriously do NOT know what to do. i am so upset. that's all.

on a positive note...baskin robbins 31 cent scoop night is tonight. (didnt it used to be FREE scoop night?? i guess we are in a recession...) it was yummy!

aa flea market

Today american apparel had a flea market at unlv. The only reason i even knew about it is because for my new job i have to read the Las Vegas Weekly and Citylife every week. Anyways...besides the fact that the doors were supposed to open at 8, but finally opened at 10:30, (so i had to come back) it was mad chaos but super awesomeness at the same time! For those of you who don't know much about AA they are a sweatshop free clothing company, so their clothing is a little more pricey than I like to spend.  So at this flea market, they had racks and racks of reject clothing, or stuff that hadn't sold, and it was all super cheap. Like 3 shirts for $16! holy heck. Normally their shirts are at least $20 each. I even got Matix some baby clothes.  Anyways, long story short...I was in heaven. and got some sweet stuff.

I got these super cute sandals at children's orchard the other day. They look so cute on matix and they stay on surprisingly well. i love them.

first birthday bash

no he's not officially 1 until may 18th, but since jon will be in texas, we decided to celebrate early....

the celebration started at michelles with presents (she lives in cali)....

then at sushi with megs (cuz she was going out of town)...

and then it was time for the BIG day!!!

A couple weekends back my WHOLE family headed up to st. george for our good family friend monte holm's 50th birthday party. and what a party it was. it was a renaissance theme, and boy was a jealous that they had the sweetest costumes ever. i want to be a renaissance princess. nevertheless it was a great time.

poor baby..

Last night was quite the night. We were all ready for bed, and me, my dad, and matix were just playing togther on the couch watching the italian job. It was our first night without daddy.(sadface) he went to texas for the summer. but thats a whole other post.

anyways so as we were playing, matix fell flat off the couch onto his back. of course it hurt and i felt bad, but let's be honest, he's an 11month old child who is almost walking. he falls quite often, so i really thought nothing of it, that is until he puked ALL OVER ME while i was still comforting him. eww eww eww. so i clean it all up, and try to put him to bed when BAM all over his crib. you get the point. anyways, after 8 times throwing up in 2 hours i really was freaking out! My poor baby boy. and not only was he throwing up, he turned supppper pale, and he was exhausted. his eyes kept rolling back in his head as he was trying so hard to fall asleep, and would just puke again. it was horrible. After getting advice from a mother, friend, 2 nurses, and a pediatrician, off to the hospital we went. thanks megs for coming with us so some of my family could be sane today,with work, school, and a cousin coming to stay the night last night. luckily we were the only patient in the waiting room at spring valley hospital.(amazing right?) we were in with in 5 minutes. and the whole process was about 2.5 hours. they took a ct scan and luckily everything was fine.

i still do not get why he was acting sooo strange becasue he had all the symtoms of a serious concussion, yet there was nothing really wrong. i am soo glad. but its still kinda weird. now hes just cranky and tired. but smiley and normal! im so grateful. i love my baby boy.

date night..

to see the hannah montana movie. and as jon was making fun of little little girls right in front of us being all hannah montana crazy...i got a little teary eyed. how gay am i? 

and im not even embarrassed.

In the last 2 weeks...3 of my closest friends have had babies. needless to say..the last couple of months have been jam-packed with baby showers and hospitals galore...

I threw darci buhl a shower on February 28...

and hadley ann buhl was born on march 24

on march 2 we went to my good friend natasha's baby shower at a park in henderson...

baby ayden kaleb tagai was born on march 29

february 21st was val's baby shower at a park too...

and we welcomed baby sophie elise royal on april 7

now we have my sister julie due in may with a baby girl!

my friend celina tingey due in may with a baby girl!

my friend brittany cushenberry due in july with a baby boy!

my sister stephanie due in october with twins!

and my friend layne fender due in november!

(i think thats all the pregnant people in my life...)
