We also planned another murder mystery dinner while we were in Utah with a bunch of Devin's friends. Sean's mom offered to make everyone dinner so we figures a murder mystery dinner party was the way we should go! We went with a "Once upon a time" theme this time, and it couldn't have been more perfect. Everyone dressed up perfectly for their part...

Sean's mom's dinner was amazing. It was like being at PF Changs with how many options she had made and it was seriously so delicious. She went all out. It was pretty amazing. We could not thank her enough.

Kelsey won best costume.
Rachelle won most money.
Sean & Katie guessed the murder.
And Brandon won best performance!!

It was such a fun night with such fun people!!

Zombie Chase 5K.

Last weekend we headed back up to Utah for the 2nd time this month! We love Devin's family and like to spend as much time with them as possible. Some of Devin's friend's wives had decided to run in a Zombie Chase 5K that Saturday morning and invited me to join them. Best. Decision. Ever. It was seriously so much fun. The first thing I thought when they told me about it was that we had to dress up like zombies. I live for dressing up as anything, really. But zombies are especially fun. So we went all out...matching outfits, extreme makeup. The works. We even woke up at 6:30 a.m. to do it all. And it was fun! Then we got to the race (an hour late since we got a little bit lost) and realized that the zombies were supposed to chase the runners! Oh well. We looked amazing and people even took pictures of us. And not to mention the zombies stayed further away from us because we were that scary. haha. The race itself was way more of an obstacle course than anything else. Which was seriously so fun. Plus anyone who knows me knows that I am not a runner. Not at all. But I was all about this course. We had to scale walls. Climb through pipes. crawl thorough graves while avoiding chicken wire (and zombies). Maneuver through tires. Crawl across a rope bridge. etc. It was seriously so much fun! And the girl's I did it with made it that much better. I seriously love all of Devin's friends (and their wives).

After the race we went and scared all the husbands at work and then ended with some lunch at Tacos Amigos where Kelsey was working...in her zombie makeup and all. :)

The I came home to this cute boy who spent the morning with Devin, eating Awful Waffle and riding the new Segway :)

Murder Mystery Dinner #2

We had so much fun at our last murder mystery dinner, that we decided to do another one with some of our Vegas friends. We out it together pretty quickly and made it a pot luck. It turned out so good and we all had so much fun! We did the same script as the last one so me and Devin knew the outcome, but it honestly was still super fun. Everyone dressed up so cute and the food was delicious!

Escalante Motorcycle Trip

My extended family from northern California planned an intense little motorcycle trip up through Escalante, Utah and as soon as my dad got his invite he went all out. The Marx family was going and we were going all out. He basically forced us all to go with his constant nagging. "Are you gonna go?" "Did you ask for work off?" It was never ending. But everything ended up working out (Thanks Layne) and we were off...to Utah for a 4 day long motorcycle adventure. It was awesome!!

7 side by sides. 3 sand rails. 1 4-wheeler. 22 peeps.
That's how the Marx's roll.

We visited The Grand Staircase Escalante. The Devil's Garden. And the top side of Hole in the Rock.
It was super awesome to see Hole in the Rock. What dedication those pioneers had. Sometimes those dirt roads seemed never ending and we were only out there a couple days. (Not to mention we stayed in hotels and ate at restaurants) I can't even imagine how hard and how much faith being a pioneer took.

Thanks for all your hard work, dad!! We had a blast.
