these are a few of my favorite things...

so my darling little boy is getting so big. He is no longer a little baby. He knows what he wants, and will not let it go down any other way. Its wonderful. (sarcasm) He throws little baby fits already that can either be super frustrating or super funny. However, I love that he has a little personality now. He is so much fun to have around, when im not super busy doing other things...like hw. (ps summer school=not fun) My family just loves him to pieces. My mom watches him most days of the week. (the days she has to work, litany watches him..and she seems to love it) My dad will hang out with matix anytime he can. (except during Bonanza, nothing can compete with Bonanza) Anytime his little cousins come over, they always are so happy to see baby matix. Now that he walks, he can actually keep up with them, so he loves to play with them. He always gets so sad when they leave. And my friends just cant get enough of him. Megan Megan and Ashley come over almost everynight, and help get him ready for bed. They joke that as he gets older, he's gonna hate the fact that he has like 5 moms digging into his business. He is just such a stud muffin, and i love him to pieces.

Things he LOVES
-his bottle-he knows when im making one, and he will pull himself up on the dishwasher just to try to get it faster
-nursery-I know its too early for him, but trust me...sitting through all hours of church with him is a nightmare. He's all over the place. So a few weeks back we started going to nursery, and he lovessss it. In fact, the weekend i had cinevegas, my mom took matix to church and when they walked past the door, he screamed and cried because she wouldnt let him go in.
(she was teaching the lesson in class so they couldnt go) how funny that he remembers. He is such a social butterfly, so he loves to play with all the kiddos. Hopefully he continues to like it this much when he's 18 months. :)

-the computer- he loves to type on the keyboard. I cant get anything done if he's in my room, and if someone else is watching him in the familyroom, and he knows im on my computer, he will just keep coming to find me.
-balls- any shape, color, size.. it does not matter. matix loves to catch balls. throw balls. chase balls. etc. he always has a smile on his face.
-books-he will just look at page after page. they keep him entertained for quite some time.

-music- whenever matix hears music he will stop and bounce up and down, wave his arms in the air, or clap (or a combination of all 3) its hilarious. Music time is his favorite part of nursery. He dances and then tries to get his hands on the keyboard sister dye is playing.
-eating- if we dont cut him off, he'll eat til he gets sick. but if he doesnt like something, he'll let you know, by throwing it or spitting it out at you. awesome, i know. toaster strudels are a favorite of us both. its probably because i lived on them when i was pregnant.

-ice cubes-wierd but true. at restaurants he will dig his hands in the glass to grab the ice. It probably feels good on his gums.
-bathtime- since he was a baby, bathtime has always been his favorite time. when he hears the water turn on...he's getting in and there's nothing you can do to stop him. One time i tried to take a shower by myself and thought he'd just play in the bathroom. Nope. He jumped in clothes and all. i learned my lesson.

-outside- this kid would live outside if you let him.
-the toilet brush- so disgusting. He knows where it is and will get it everytime he's in the bathroom. then he carries it all around the house, until i catch him.

-grandpa-i dont know what it is about this guy, but kids just love him. matix is no different. he is the one person that matix truly gets excited to see. it's probably because they are two peas in a pod...or because they share a birthday. who knows.

things he DISLIKES

-grass-this was mostly through his crawling stage...but if you were to put matix in grass he would only crawl on his feet and hands (instead of knees and hands) he would head straight for concrete, and then continue with knees and hands. it was hilarous. my friends would always say "lets put him in the grass!!" (ugh umm...trezzy) poor kid.

-jon's unlce matt-this is the strangest thing, but matix is deathly scared of jon's uncle matt. if he is ever around, matix will just cry and cry. the first time it happened, we thought it was just a weird fluke. but then when we saw him again like a month or more later, the same thing. we thought it was the hat at first, but no...it's just him. sad huh?
-getting left-if anyone (especially me) grabs their purse or keys, he gets so sad. he will follow you crying until you pick him up, and then he waves his hand and says 'buh-bye. buh-bye.'
