she's hitched.

yep...megan winn is now officially a draney. 

i cant believe it. 

her wedding was on saturday and it was absolutely perfect.

friday night was the "family dinner" thing.

we ate, chit chatted, and played the newlywed game. 

megan and travis tied for last place, go figure.

saturday was the wedding and reception.

megan looked so beautiful and so happy.

then it was off to hawaii for me and the draneys...

that would have made for an awesome honeymoon though...meeting up with the best friend. haha.

i could just see the excitement travis would have had!!!

matix ended up sleeping with me last night because he is sick=me not sleeping

2 girls called in=me staying til 430 instead of 2 like i should.

i have megans rehearsal dinner at 6

i have not showered.

did i mention i am dying?

i have been taking antibiotics since monday and i feel like im getting worse but i dont have time to go to the doc.

and megans wedding stuff begins today..and i feel like poo. 

who wants too feel like poo at their best friends wedding??? NOBODY

reasons why today is a good day...

i got to sleep with me baby boy last night...when he wakes up and needs to snuggle it makes my heart melt

i get to hang out with megan w tonight...i never get to see her lately.

megan b gets in town today

its one day closer to hawaii! (only 1.5 to go!!)

my uncle g told me i could close the office early...at 3:30

the office mgr told me 3:00 sounded even better  :)

(im pretty sure everyone feels bad for me becasue i literally am dying and it shows)

tyson told me he would get my full name tattooed on him

that would be hilarious.

matix is going on the father and sons with my dad today...im gonna miss him..but i know they will have so much fun together..so im excited for him.

i got to see jonny cherie, who is a 5 year old girl who had cancer. and her dad was telling us that it is almost 2 years she will be cancer free, and he got teary eyed, and it made my heart smile.

{even on our bad days, there's a lot of good.

a day for moms.

my second mothers day as a mom has come and gone, and boy was it a good day.

matix woke up bright and early and gave me a card that he made with the help of jons mom.

and a little gift from my mom

and then after church he gave me this sweet frame he made in nursery.

it now sits on my dresser next to my bed with a picture of us in it.

i love it.

later we went to visit the grandparents....

who now  live with my uncle glen--

who just happens to have horseys and chickens all over his backyard.

yep...matix knows they are there

and he knows he loves them.

so into the backyard we stayed, wind and all

and matix was in little boy heaven!!

i have quite the little animal lover on my hands, 

which is just great since im not the biggest animal lover in the world.

anyways im sure we ill be back soon to visit again real soon.

except for the part where i got sick...and am now dying and i hate it. please get better soon.... pleeeeease. i dont have time for this!!

actually not really...because matix actually costs me some money

and he's the best thing in MY life, obviously.

 but lately..my friends..well they've been HOOKIN it up with some free awesomeness.

like when we went to the secret garden...ya..that was FREE {thanks to brittany}

and then when i went to the premier with val...ya that was FREE

and dinner at Rare 120 at hard rock for megs bachelorette party...FREE

and a glorious day at sea world, FREE thanks to kelli {and her family}

and then 2 day disneyland passes...FREE 

(and a free stay at the hilton anaheim)

and now...the BEST mother's day gift of all (okay so it wasnt really a mother's day gift...but he gave it to me on mothers day..so it kinda counts?)...

FREE FLIGHT TO HAWAII...along with a FREE place to stay, thanks to my new buddy Nate  :)

ummm...i couldnt be any happier...HAWAII HERE WE COME!

{just because i got stuff for free doesnt mean i didnt actually spend any money...like food and stuff at disneyland and sea world=NOT FREE}

ouceeeeee creeaammmm.

i love just hanging out with my baby boy. 

he's at that age where it's more like hangin out, than actually being a mom. 

and it is so much fun!

he speaks unbeleivably well for his age. 

like full on conversations, people.

a few weeks back i told him he could only have "ouceeee creamm" if he pronounced it right..so we practiced..

and he now can officially say "ice cream"

i guess...he got his sweet tooth from his momma...or his papa..whichever.

he counts...all the way to 20...and it cracks me up/amazes me every time.

at d-land people would ask how old he was, 

he would reply..."urr-teen"

umm....thirteen really?

then they would laugh, and he would laugh, and i would say

"no matix, how old are you?"

and he would reply and hold up a finger..."one"

and then i would say, "when will you be two?

"two weeks"  he's soo smart.

while watching lion king....like i said obsessed. and i really have no idea where he even discovered the movie..one day he just asked for it out of nowhere...random.

i came in to check on him right at the part where mufasa falls off the cliff.

matix looks at me and points to the tv...

"the lion king...he fell...he got hurt."

i asked if he was gonna be okay?

and he said..."nope"

he actually understands what hes watching....i had no clue. i thought he just liked the colors and music.
he sings hakuna matata and its so sweeet...if i say "hakuna matata"...he replies with "what a wonderul phrase"
ahhhhhhhh.

last night he woke up in the night...i think i was being kinda loud.

so he asked if he could sleep with me. 

i caved and said yes...so he climbed in my bed and asked to watch tv...i declined.

as i was getting my pajamas on...he says..eyes squinted half open...

"lay down, asheeyyyyy!!!"  (yes he calls me ashhhey and i love it..my mom on the otherhand hates it..but its not his fault..i live with my family..who all refer to me as ashley...not MOM!!)

it was so sweet. and so funny to me. im not quite sure why, thinking back.

he snuggled close to me, and my heart melted.

beautiful weather.

i love this weather we've been having. i wish it were a little more consistent though. and i dont like the wind that comes about every once in a while. one day we were supposed to go the lake but it was windy, and i got really sad... stupid wind. i've been to the park more in the last month or so than ever before. it's kind of something me and a certain friend do a lot of nights. we lay under the stars and talk and i love it. there is this super amazing, super hidden park up on town center and the mountains. it has the craziest toys and i am in love with it. i wanna go back and play again. i have been wearing dresses a lot lately. i never used to wear dresses. but ive bought a lot lately...and i love them now. they are so summery and fun. and for once in my life...my legs arent pastey. its a nice change, and an "i am single" gift to myself. i have even been called tan?! wait what!? yep i was shocked..and it made me smile. today i went swimming with kelli and layne. they were about 20 shades whiter than me. haha. i might go to hawaii next week. sounds like an oxymoron right? hawaii, might and NEXT week all in the same sentence. well it's true. i hope it all works out. ive never been there before. lastly, me and matix and my parents went to my neice amandas last t-ball game. it's a stake primary league, which is pretty cool if you ask me. the weather was perfect. and i played catch with all the kiddos. it was a nice evening. then we ate at los tacos after and it was really yummy. and im not even a big mexican food fan. try it.

matix has stolen my dads heart... my dad took him to the snack bar to get a treat.

last weekend me and matix (and a few others) made our way to california to go to...

DISNEYLAND!

i love disneyland, and i just knew matix would love it too. 

unfortunately, unlike sea world, disneyland is verryyyy crowded.

so battling the lines with an antsy, cranky, almost two year old, was a complete joy.

matix is usually soooo chill, but he had a few breakdowns to say the least.

he just wanted all the exciting things NOW, and did not understand the concept of waiting in line. 

but we survived and had a lotttt of fun.

my wonderful, awesome, and super amazing, friend brittany got us free tickets for two days,  

(did i mention generous, oh, that too)

and her mom booked us the hilton for our "girls+baby boys" trip that turned into an everyone trip.

so i invited the tesoros to tag along, my old roomie from reno susan, and the rest of britts family joined in too.

we all had so much fun at the happiest place on earth!!!

friday night:we ate at la brea cafe at downtown disney.

matix is obsessed with the lion king..as in we watch it everyday. sometimes twice a day. he was quick to spot the lion king statue at the disney store and wanted to "touch it" really bad...so we tried...

disneyland day 1:

we hit up as many rides as we could squeeze in...

and ate as much food as our little bellies could handle.

oh and we bought a $12 ballon for matix...YES $12 DOLLARS...he asked ALLL day long for one...so i finally caved. and he was soooo excited. he even thanked me by hitting me on the head. oh you just think youre just so funny little boy!

then we ended the night by watchin the firework show, which happens to be my favorite part of Disneyland. matix was mesmerized. and then we rode two more rides before making our way back to the hotel by midnight...

Disneyland Day 2:

 ...was all about the characters and toon town.

i could not believe how excited matix was about meeting all the characters. mickey was his favorite, of course. but he just ran right up and hugged the crap out of them all. it was seriously the sweetest thing.

he also loved to go at his own pace playin with all the fun things in all the houses. day 2 was a much happier day. no crazy meltdowns. [but we were also there a third of the time.] we skipped out at about 2:30 for naptime and to start our drive home....

oh ya...and we ran into a lady with a baby kitty at the gas station...

matix was more than happy to give the kitty some love   :)

hooray for disneyland. fun times. and great friends. 

[this is actually matix's second trip to d-land. we took him back when he was one month old..yes ONE MONTH--spoiled boy. and he loved it haha but this time he was actually be able to participate and enjoy everything that d-land has to offer...okay maybe not everything..but you get the point.
