After a lot of thinking and reading and looking at flights over those two weeks...we finally had a plan. Kinda. And that's exactly how I wanted it. I wanted to get an idea of the best things to do. The best places to see. The best ways to get there. And then just go wherever the wind took us. And that's exactly what we did. In fact, the wind took our little butts all the way to Utah. Salt Lake City to be exact. To catch a flight, because all of our other options out of Vegas weren't looking so good. So into the car we went, to drive our excited little butts into the wee hours of the night, a quick spend-the-night in Brianhead to rest ourselves, and finally we made it. In one piece. To Nates house. Where he made us unpack our bags. And repack HALF (yes, half) of what we brought, and fit it from a backpacking bag...to a backpack. Oh.my.goodness...did he forget that we are girls? But we did it....and then we were off to the airport and we made our flight! And we even got FIRST CLASS. So it was all worth it.
After 11 long, but luxurious hours of sleeping, feasting, and moving watching (aka the best flight of my life) we were in Tokyo, Japan. We had a short layover, and then we made our second flight to Bangkok, Thailand. Six hours, and a few hilarious conversations with some California boys later, we were finally there!! Aghhhhhhh. We arrived around 11:00 pm Thailand time on Friday night.

We had direct orders, I mean directions, from Hailey to take a taxi from the airport to Khao San Road to her hostel called Mom's Guesthouse. To her surprise, we found her without even having to call! Nate was an expert direction follower, while me and Lindsey went nuts looking at everything there was to see. Khao San Road is a crazy place. At all hours of the night. It's basically the strip, on steroids. With loud music. Tons of tourists. Thailand biker crews. Lady boys. Dance clubs. Ping pong shows (don't ask). Street vendors with tons of clothes and food and stuff. It was amazing and gross all at the same time. I loved it!
First thing on our agenda was to get a massage asap. That's literally all we could think about, naturally. But first we had to figure out what in the heck we were doing the next day and an idea of what we all wanted to accomplish for the 10 days we were there since this was the first time we were all together. We had heard right before we left that going to Cambodia was a must do. We all agreed that we should just do it. So off we were to figure out how. Luckily Mom's Guesthouse has a travel agency right in their lobby. Convenient right? Oh and it was open and 2 am. No big deal. Everything around there is open all. night. long. So we booked a mini bus ride to Cambodia that left at 7am. We found a place to take our visa pictures to get across the border (also open at 2am) bought a couple of shirts and some food, said goodbye to Cody (Hailey's friend who was flying back to Hawaii that night, I mean morning?) and then it was massage time, finally!!
