Matix is 5!

Matix recently had another birthday! I can't believe it's already been another year....Man, does time fly. 

(Yes, Dev made the list 3 times. This breakup has been hard on the both of us)

We started off the day with a tee ball game! Matix doesn't love tee ball as much as some, but he sure gives it a good effort. His favorite part is hitting the ball and running. Boy is he fast. Since he had a game on his birthday, I made the team cupcakes in the shape of a baseball. They were a hit!

Then we stopped by a singles ward activity...alip n' slide at the park. I thought Matix would love it, but he was shy and nervous. He still had fun eating the snacks and popsicles. 

Then it was P A R T Y T I M E ! A funny thing about Matix is that he chooses his theme for his next birthday on his current birthday and he sticks with it. Last year he decided to have a sea creatures party this year, so sea creatures it was. All year long we talked about his sea creatures party. Finally that dream became a reality. We sure had fun! A Big thank you to everyone who came! We both have some pretty awesome friends and family!

We played "hot potato" with a dollar-store-dolphin I found. The kids loved it.

Steph and Cana just happened to be in town from California. And Devin surprised Matix and boy was that little boy thrilled to see him. They really are the best of friends.

This is Hailey. She is from Matix's preschool class. And Matix is quite fond of her :) We are so glad she made it!

After the party was over and cleaned up. A few of us decided to go out to dinner to continue the celebration. Lindo Michoacan is a family fave!

I can't believe we've spent FIVE years together!
