we headed north to brianhead and spent the thanksgiving holiday in lots and lots of snow.
on the way up...there was hardly any snow...but throughout the weekend it DUMPED and on the way home the roads were a mess...all the way past cedar city.
cars were sliding off the roads into snowbanks left and right.
a gas tank truck flipped on it's side right in front of us.
it was nuts... but we made it home...all in one piece. (but not without a flat tire!)
the whole weekend was chaotic, to say the least!
11 kids (6 and under) and 10 adults
but it was the whole family!!
we ate. played some board games. i watched some gossip girl. took some naps. snowboarded. cut down christmas trees (7) and did some black friday shopping in cedar.
...the makings of a perfect holiday weekend if ya ask me!
(ps snowboarding...by yourself...is not really as fun as going with friends like when we were young and could ALL go together. oh how i miss those days. now we have kids and such... but it was a perfect day. with perfect weather. so i just had to...)
hooray for a holiday that revolves around eating and family!

well...until we got stuck. and cold. and it took us like an hour to get it unstuck! go me and steph!
he didn't like it much after that! :)

matix's first experience with hot chocoltae...with marshmellows and whipped cream! he lovedddd it.
and him and his cute new cousin autumn :)
NOW...Bring on Christmas...We are Ready!
